Megan Johnston
Dannie Gamble
Hometown: Kelowna, British Columbia
So there's no ignoring the fact that she's Canadian. I mean, she's got the accent, eh? But since I've gotten to know more about her and what her home is like, I've realized that I know next to nothing about our neighbors to the north (I mean, can you name Canada's ten provinces and three territories?). She's taught me that some Canadian money has a scratch-n-sniff maple leaf that smells like maple syrup, and meanwhile I'm wondering why our money doesn't smell like fried chicken or apple pie.
Here are a few of Megan’s favorites:
Sport: hockey
Music genre: country
Season: winter
Movie: The Sound of Music
Book: Watership Down
There’s a lot more to Megan than just “Canada!” Get to know her. If you haven’t already, say hi and introduce yourself. She’s still getting used to some of the faces and names here!
Timothy Meyer
Jaq Gerbitz
Some of us may simply refer to Timothy Meyer as “Grace’s sister,” or “The well dressed, new kid.” But in my brief conversation with him I discovered there’s a bit more to him. Tim is interested in psychology and human behavior, and eventually wants to work in law enforcement in New York City. He likes rock music and recently started learning guitar. Thanks to outside sources (Grace), I was also able to discover that he supposedly has spectacular eyesight, hearing, and artistic skills, though he wouldn’t admit to any of those things himself. Definitely stop and say hi! It sounds like Tim has some intriguing interests and I’m sure he’d love to share.
