Senior Spotlight: Lydia Strike

One of our seniors here at Immanuel, Lydia Strike, was born in Windom, MN and grew up in Okabena, MN. During her time in high school she has made lots of memories. Some of her favorites include, Tour Choir in her sophomore year and building Hank’s car. Also, during her time here she has learned some lessons. A few that she shared were: to stay busy and find things to do, but also slow down and enjoy making memories with the people around you. She would also like to encourage the underclassmen to prioritize homework, but don't let it consume your life, and always remember that God is good. Some of the things she’ll miss after graduating are chapels, having random conversations every day, and living so close to all her friends. Out of the classes she has had, a couple of the ones she liked most were Spanish and Art.

Even though moving on from high school can be a challenge, she is excited for what God has for her in the future, including getting married and going to Heaven one day after living a life serving the Lord. One Bible verse that has helped her through these last four years, is Philippians 4:13. And finally, when asked the question, “If you could change one thing about your high school experience, what would it be?” Lydia said,”I wouldn't change a thing, because it all brought me to where I am today.”
