Canadian Corner

Now as I’ve said before, Canada is full of some pretty gnarly stuff, so I’ve composed a list of some of THE gnarliest stuff to ever come out of the true north. I think the coolest one is probably Superman, or walkie-talkies. Both of those were my childhood. Canada has blessed the world with words like “eh”, ‘loonie”, “hoser”, “tuque”, “washroom”, “knapsack” and the phrases “2-4”, “double double”.

The greatest food inventions include poutine (google it), McIntosh red apples, peanut butter, all-dressed and ketchup chips, coffee crisps, crispy crunches, smarties, Nanaimo bars, and instant mashed potatoes.

You’d think with all this food we’d be American. But since we invented hockey, basketball and lacrosse, we’re not the country known for our substantial obesity rate. And since we invented the telephone, you may give me a ring on my Blackberry if you want an apology for that last comment there. It was pretty mean and I’m sorry.

We’re also saving lives, with the inventions of insulin, the electron microscope, cardiac pacemakers, electric wheelchairs, and the prosthetic hand.

I bet you can’t guess who invented the snowblower, the snowmobile, the goalie mask, and maple syrup! So yeah, it’s safe to say Canada is pretty cool. HAHA get it? Cool…cold…as in the climate of Canada. LOL, I’m out. Blessings of health and warmth from Maple Leaf Road, Moose Town, BC.

**Disclaimer** the information in this article was found off the great world wide web, and I may be crediting Canada for something that is not in fact of origin. Thanks!
