She Loves Me: Preview

Synopsis:

The musical takes place in the 1930s in a perfume shop owned by Mr. Maraczeck. (That’s Mare-uh-check.) The shop’s employees are Georg Nowack,(no-vac) Ladislav Sipos, Steven Kodaly (ko-die), and Ilona Ritter. Despite Mr. Maraczeck not wanting to hire anymore, Amalia Balash proves just how good of a clerk she is, and joins the staff at the fancy parfumerie. Amalia and Georg cannot stand each other. They both have been corresponding through the “Lonely Hearts” column in the newspaper. Their letters to each other seem to be one of the few things that keep them going, but neither of them knows that the other one is the “dear friend” from the letters.
