Things to do Inside (Other than watching a movie)
Thinking of something to do in the winter (especially in the dorms!) besides watching movies and video games? Here are some ideas that I’ve come up with while being home schooled last year in the winter.
1. Read your Bible (I know, we get told this all the time, but it’s REALLY a good idea.)
2. Read in general (Seriously, there are SO MANY books waiting to be read.)
3. Go down to the gym (basketball, volleyball, get friends to play 4-square)
4. Draw (pictures, basically anything!)
5. Go sledding on the hill (Is this allowed???)
6. On that note, have a snowball fight (I’m guessing this is also allowed) *depends
7. Make use of the exercise equipment/weights in the dorms
8. Clean/Redesign your room
9. Write a letter (old school right?) to your friends or family back home
10. Make homemade gifts for your church’s shut-ins (You could get their addresses
from your Pastor.) (I’m sure they would appreciate it.)
11. Speaking of gifts - Make/Buy Christmas gifts or cards for your friends/family.
12. Boys-Make use of your Ping Pong table!!!!!
13. Listen to music!!!
14. Write (Stories, etc.) (Crossroads or The Flash people?)
15. Take a nap!!! (I’m not sure why this isn’t farther up on the list!)
16. Drink Hot Cocoa!!! (I’m sure SOMEONE has some if you don’t have any.)
17. Board games!
18. Well, if I’m going to say board games, I may as well say puzzles.
19. Go to an away (or home!) Immanuel basketball game (We always need more fans.)
20. Take a walk outside, if it’s not a blizzard out.
