Thanksgiving is finally over, which means that Christmas is coming. We’ve already had a snowfall and Christmas tunes have been hummed around campus for the past couple of weeks. While walking down the girls’ dorm hallway and seeing the gift-wrapped door, you can’t help but be reminded of it. The atmosphere has become more cheerful. What makes this time so special? I asked a couple of students what their favorite part of Christmas is. I got a lot of repeat answers, such as spending time with family/fam bam and eating lots of food. Although I don’t have enough room to write down what everyone said (Jesus memes - you know who you are), here are a couple of responses I got:
Emily Zimmerman - Christmas tree decorations
Faith and Paige - Christmas lights
Nick and Joey - opening presents
Katie Mayhew - the fact that everyone’s actually happy
Lily Meyer - “jolly Christmas music”
Ben Naumann - snowboarding
Dannie - the Christmas Eve service
Nicole - buying presents
EJ - seeing her nephews from South Carolina
Rose - seeing her doggo
James Schaser - sledding
Zach and Josh - the atmosphere
Emma Gurgel and Julia - caroling and Christmas hymns
Jillian Gamble - opening her stocking
Alex Garvins - eating cookies
