Jonathan Marc Gamble: A Señor Spotlight

Describe the day of your birth?: ‘Twas a magical day (Oct. 23. 1998, St. Paul, MN). My mother was just preparing to eat a nice autumn lunch. I did not want to miss a meal. And there I was. All nine pounds of me.”

If you had to listen to one musical artist for the rest of your life, who would it be?: Eric Church

Would you rather be a MLB player or a NBA player, what position, what team?: I would have to say center fielder for the Twins because baseball is not nearly as tolling as basketball.

Do you remember your first made three in a game: It was 7th grade, nothing but net; I was like 1 for 5 in the season. We won by 20. Traveling ball, not grade school. Game was in Sartell, MN. That is the only three I’ve made in a game.

Greatest childhood memory?: I’ve probably got to go with [Twin] game 163 against Tigers. Watched it with Bryan in my basement. Carlos Gomez slid into home in the 12th for the win, even though there was absolutely no play at home. Nominated the “Best Regular Season Game of This Decade.”

If you could redo one play, in any sport, in your high school career, what would it be?: Umm.. probably Freshman year, Sectional game against Thorp. I got in the game and a minute later got called for a charge. Coach pulled me for the rest of the game. If I didn't get that charge, I might have played more.

Best non-sports related memory in high school?: The fire at Sam’s house during baseball season when we found out we won (tied) conference. We were running around, dancing, driving around with the windows down screaming at the top of our lungs. We knocked on all the Profs’ houses to try to celebrate with them. Prof Lau was just running down Ingram Dr. with his hands held high.

Any advice?: Don’t do homework on Friday or Saturday night. Make the most of every weekend, because high school flies by. MAKE SOME FRIENDS!
