Senior Spotlight: Jackie Schierenbeck
Professional doodler, crochet enthusiast, and fluent in Mouthing Words To Grace Across the Room. These are just a few areas that Jackie Schierenbeck excels in, although she’d never brag. Most of us know her as a member of the Grace-Jackie-Renee trio, but today we shed some light on her as an individual through a set of hard-hitting questions that I asked during an art class inauguration ceremony:
The Flash: Where and when were you born?
Jackie: ?
F: You had 8 siblings growing up, right?
J: Yup. . . . and am I not still growing up?
F: Just making sure. Some people were saying seven, but I think they forgot Matthew.
J: Oh, that’s weird, usually people forget Jordyn.
[At this point we get side-tracked talking about watercolor penguins. Hers look really good and mine look like an oil spill.]
F: I forgot I was supposed to be asking questions. Um, desert island. Three things. Go.
J: Grace, a water purifier, and a knife.
F: Any Spongebob quotes to share?
J: Well, I dunno. All that comes to mind is “I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready.” I can just see him running down that path now . . .
F: As long as we’re getting serious. What about plans for after high school?
J: UWEC, hopefully.
[At this point we get too into watching the inauguration and the interview is cut short.]
